About Us
Welcome to the home of Free Spirit Working Canines!
We are a small kennel in Southern Kentucky dedicated to breeding, raising, and training working dogs, as well as exceptional family companions.
We have raised, loved, and trained working dogs for nearly 20 years. We participate with our own dogs in competitive sports such as IPO (schutzhund), AKC obedience, agility, nosework, and dock diving. We also train our dogs for jobs such as, but not limited to, police patrol, scent detection, search and rescue, and as service and therapy dogs to name a few.
Each year we strive to further expand our experience and knowledge in the working dog world through continued education at workshops, seminars, and training conferences conducted by some of the world's leading experts in canine behavior and training techniques. Working dogs are more than just a hobby for us, they are our passion, our way of life!
What We Offer
Working Dogs and Puppies
Our kennel offers puppies and adult dogs available for sale on a limited basis to approved working homes, such as for police, private sector executive protection and detection, search and rescue, competitive sport, and service work.

Companion Dogs / Puppies
Occasionally we have puppies or adult dogs available for sale on a limited basis, with exceptional temperaments that are best suited as companion dogs and will go directly into a home environment with a family. Training packages are also available for any puppy or adult dog that we place or sell. If you are considering adopting a puppy or adult dog into your family, call us today for more information on how to apply for dogs that we may have available.
Training Consultations
Dog and handler training is also available to approved applicants. We can help you as an owner/handler: (1) establish a solid foundation in your puppy or young adult dog, (2) help troubleshoot training
problems with your more seasoned dog, (3) provide new approaches and techniques to add to your training program, and (4) help to improve the overall relationship and teamwork between you and your dog.
